Worth the drive to Lazy Horse Brewery & Winery by Michael and Tammie Rheiner

Tammie and I met with a listing client in Geneva, NE, back in October of 2022. We did list and sell their super cute home in that lovely community. But at the end of our very first meeting we asked about the best local place to go eat and experience. That is when they told us about this AWESOME little place called Lazy Horse Brewing & Winery.

The drive from Geneva was about 30 minutes to the southeast with the last couple miles down a gravel/dirt farm road. What we found upon arrival was about as relaxing as you get. The pizza was excellent! The service was as friendly and kind as you will find anywhere in Nebraska. The outdoor dining options were the best, and it was all VERY family friendly.

Okay, so yes….it is a long drive from Omaha just for some local drinks and wood fired pizza. But it is so much more than that. And as you sit outside, enjoying the breeze, you realize that people chose to build their home in these quiet locations. They found their dream in the open spaces of Nebraska and chose to “homestead” in ways that challenged them to work the land, for the offering of elbow room.
